Saw a tweet about 7.30 from girl who worked at ice rink saying she bumped into Russell outside so it looks like he made it.

We rang the venue who confirmed that Russell made it but arrived about ten minutes late.

What a fantastic concert It started later and Russell explained about the traffic and how Robert and orchestra choir had no rehearsal Russell started with God save the queen and we all stood up Russell sang eversong on the new album except proud and robert and orchestra did nimrod dambusters etc the extra songs Russell sang was you raise me up bring him home bridge over troubled water which was dedicated to troops in afghanistan who didnt make it home. he sang with Laura land of hope and glory and whitecliffs of dover she sang 2 songs born free and one she sang in front of queen great voice. Russell took off an american accent brilliantly talking about washington gig someone shouted out sing nessun dorma and he said whatever i laughed . Robert was barefeet never saw him like that before he was funny . i gave Robert a present and he thanked me and smiled
